Names in the news

Robert Oden, MD, has been elected into both the U.S. and Colorado Ski Halls of Fame. Not a skier himself, the octogenarian orthopaedist, who has practiced in Aspen, Colo. for 45 years, has treated Olympic ski teams through the years . . . On Aug. 8, the University of Kentucky honored D. Kay Clawson, MD, by naming the new wing of its outpatient building the D. Kay Clawson Pavilion. The state medical society will honor him as an outstanding medical educator at its fall meeting. The former dean of the University of Kentucky Medical Center helped create a musculoskeletal curriculum at the school and oversaw construction of the Kentucky Clinic, an ambulatory facility.
