SEOS: The Pelvis available November 15

Review alternate surgical exposures to the pelvis in a new DVD edited by John T. Gorczyca, MD, with video footage contributed by Matthew L. Jimenez, MD, and Mark S. Vrahas, MD. Selective Exposures in Orthopaedic Surgery (SEOS): The Pelvis, which will be available on or about November 15, is designed for orthopaedic surgeons in trauma care. Content includes the ilioinguinal, iliofemoral, Kocher-Langenbeck, Pfannenstiel and extended iliofemoral approaches, as well as posterior approaches to the sacrum and lateral ilium.

The program provides instructions on how to safely expose pelvic structures using superficial and deep dissection. The DVD also covers indications and methods for anticipating and avoiding operative pitfalls. SEOS: The Pelvis includes references and self-assessment questions, and qualifies for up to 3 Category l CME credits. The cost is $89 for AAOS members and $69 for residents.
