The Committee on International Education and Relations needs volunteers to assist with occasional translation needs. Volunteers will be asked to read information already translated by professional translators for medical accuracy and proper use of orthopaedic terminology. The first major project will focus on the translation of a market research survey for international orthopaedic surgeons at the Academy's Annual Meeting in Atlanta. Volunteers will be needed during the first or second week of December. All languages are welcome, but of particiular interest are Academy members who speak and write French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, and Japanese. Interested volunteers should contact Lynne Dowling, the Academy's manager of international activities, (800) 346-2267, ext. 4154.
