Bone and Joint Decade to observe international week
The International Steering Committee for the Bone and Joint Decade has announced that October 12-20, 2000 is an international Bone and Joint Decade Activity Week, with four musculoskeletal disorders each receiving two days of recognition and activity. Osteoporosis Day will be observed from Oct. 12-14; Trauma Day, from Oct. 14-16; Spine Day, from Oct. 16-18; and Arthritis Day, from Oct. 18-20. Organizations around the world are encouraged to develop special programs and activities around these days. AAOS will conduct an Orthopaedic Update on musculoskeletal disease awareness at a press conference in New York City on Tuesday, Oct. 17.
