AOA-Kellogg leadership series set for Module Two
The American Orthopaedic Association and Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, c0ontinue their collaborative leadership and educational series, intended to build the management skills of orthopaedic surgeons. The program, supported by funds from Merck, Inc. and Stryker Corp., helps participants view leadership in terms of business issues, community involvement, advisory appointments and governance affairs.
AAOS members are encouraged to participate in the program’s Module Two, Jan. 27-29, 2006. Module Two will offer human resources training and management, providing participants with a framework for building high performance cultures as well as fair and just performance appraisals and rewards. Negotiation is highlighted in the module, challenging leaders to “expand the pie” to create win—win results.
