Make plans for National Action Week 2006
Oct. 12-20 is National Action Week, a U.S. Bone and Joint Decade (USBJD) initiative to spread awareness of bone and joint conditions. The week will kick off with a launch at the New York Giants vs Washington Redskins game on Sunday, Oct. 8. Plans are being made for a celebration in Washington, D.C., on Oct. 16, World Spine Day, to launch Straighten Up America, a back health public education program. At the World’s Largest Dinner Party, hosts invite guests to consider making a donation to a bone and joint related cause.
An online “toolkit” for all USBJD participating organizations offers creative ways to publicize the week as well as information on the prevention and treatment of musculoskeletal problems. Access the toolkit, containing graphics, posters, buttons, stickers, brochures, testimonials and logos, at www.usbjd.org
Share your plans with Toby King, USBJD executive director, at firstname.lastname@example.org. Visit www.usbjd.org regularly for press updates as well as to order materials to
promote the Decade and bone and joint health in your community.
