Registration packets for the Academy's 64th Annual Meeting, Feb. 13-17, 1997, in San Francisco will be sent to members in mid-October. The 1997 Annual Meeting will feature 594 scientific paper presentations, 15 symposia, 90 scientific exhibits, 500 poster exhibits and more than 150 instructional courses. The Annual Meeting will continue to offer popular educational activities like the Multimedia Education Center and the Orthopaedic Review Course on Friday, Feb. 14. On Thursday, Feb. 13, the Kappa Delta papers will be given at 2 p.m., followed by the Shands Lecture and the ORS/AAOS Symposium from 2:30-4 p.m. Immediately following the conclusion of the symposium, the Annual Meeting's Opening Ceremony will be held. These events will take place in the Gateway Ballroom of the Moscone Convention Center. The annual Business Meeting's schedule has been changed. The first session will be held Friday, Feb. 14 at 11:30 a.m., and the second session is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 15 at 11:45 a.m. Both meetings will take place in the Gateway Ballroom of the convention center.
