The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons designates this educational activity for a maximum of 28 Category 1 credits toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those credits that he/she actually spent in the activity. The Academy cannot designate its Annual Meeting as meeting the criteria for nurses or other allied health professionals. For credit that may be acceptable to state medical associations, specialty societies or state boards for medical licensure, please contact those organizations directly.
