AAOS Capitation Spreadsheets will be sold only in conjunction with Capitation and Other Managed Care Payment Systems for Orthopaedic Surgeons. Each diskette contains two spreadsheets: a capitation calculation spreadsheet; and a PMPM revenue spreadsheet. With these spreadsheets, you can develop and assess capitation rates for commercial and Medicare populations, and develop or evaluate proposed capitation rates for any combination of orthopaedic procedures. The spreadsheets can also be helpful in determining and/or evaluating capitation rates in specific contracting situations and in assessing the impact of different fee schedules. The PC format is compatible with either Microsoft Excel or Lotus 1-2-3. For information about using the spreadsheet with other MS DOS-based software, contact the Academy. The product code is 02281 for the PC format, and 02282 for the Mac format
