Academy offers e-mail news service

The Academy has launched AAOS News Updates, an e-mail communications service, that will send brief news items directly to your computer, informing you about what's happening in the health care arena around the nation.

The items are condensed versions of relevant articles in newspapers, journals and magazines about managed care, legislative activity in Washington, D.C. and the states, regulatory issues, research, and more.

You also will find brief items on news events and announcements occurring that day. The reports are sent Monday through Friday, when there is information of interest.

The AAOS News Updates service, which has been in operation on a limited basis, is being expanded to these Academy members: fellows, candidate members, orthopaedic residents, and international affiliate, associate and honorary members.

To subscribe to AAOS News Updates, go to the "Members Services" section of the Academy home page www.aaos.org. Click on "subscribe to the AAOS News Updates" in the Service Requests section. This area is for members only; you need to enter your name and six-digit ID number to gain access.
