ORS seeks nominations for Urist award, research papers for Harris award

The Orthopaedic Research Society is seeking nominations for the Marshall Urist Award for Excellence in Tissue Regeneration Research and manuscripts for the Harris award. The Urist Award is $10,000, with $5,000 paid to the individual receiving the honor and $5,000 will be paid to the individual’s laboratory or institution to promote orthopaedic research. The Harris Award is $5,000 paid to the individual. Deadline for the submission of nominees for the Urist Award and manuscripts for the Harris Award is Oct. 1, 2000. The Urist Award will be given to an investigator who has established himself/herself as a cutting-edge researcher in tissue regeneration. The topic of the Harris Award must be related to basic and/or clinical research involving the hip. The original and eight high quality copies must be submitted.
