Most physicians not members of physicians' union

Most orthopaedic practices-87.6 percent-do not have physicians who are members of a physicians' union, however, 25 percent of practices in the South Atlantic census region employ at least one physician who is a member of a physicians' union, according to a survey by BONES, the national organization of business administrators.

Overall, 10.8 percent of the respondents said their practices have at least one physician who belongs to a physicians' union, while the remaining 1.6 percent did not know.
