States to get Bone and Joint Decade ‘how to’ manual

State societies have been successful in getting proclamations recognizing the Bone and Joint Decade in 44 states. To help promote the Bone and Joint Decade, the AAOS has developed a manual "Building Awareness of the Bone and Joint Decade (2000-2010) for State and Specialty Societies."

The manual outlines ways to help the American public gain a better understanding of the impact of musculoskeletal health on their quality of life. The manual "Building Awareness of the Bone and Joint Decade (2000-2010) for State and Specialty Societies" provides more details on these and other activities. This manual will be sent to each state orthopaedic society, but can also be obtained by orthopaedic surgeons or practices by contacting Susan Koshy at the AAOS at (847) 384-4314.
