Orthopaedics Overseas, a private nonprofit organization dedicated to voluntary assistance for the advancement of orthopaedic education and training in less developed countries, needs orthopaedic surgeons as volunteers for several sites in Africa. The one-month programs are in Ethiopia, Malawai, South Africa, Tanzania and Uganda. Typical volunteer duties include daily rounds, operative surgery, outpatient orthopaedic clinic, surgical grand rounds and lectures.
