AAOS to seek applications for Leadership Fellows Program Class of 2003/2004
Applications for the Leadership Fellows Program (LFP) Class of 2003/ 2004 will be accepted beginning August 1, 2002. Applications for both Fellows and mentors will be sought.
Established in December 2001, the LFP identifies future leaders from the younger members of AAOS who have little previous volunteer or leadership experience and prepares them to assume roles of responsibility within AAOS. Fellows or candidate members who are 45 years or younger are eligible to become an LFP Fellow. AAOS fellows who wish to become a mentor should be actively involved in the orthopaedic profession, willing to devote the time necessary to serve as a mentor and interested in developing future AAOS leaders.
Additional goals of the program include establishing a formal mentoring relationship between participants and established leaders and enhancing skills for those members who already have assumed leadership roles with the AAOS.
Applications for the LFP Fellows Class of 2003/2004 and their mentors will be available on the AAOS Web site by August 1, 2002. The due date for completed applications is October 1, 2002. Contact Jeff Kramer (email@example.com) in the Department of Academic Affairs for more information on applying to the Leadership Fellows Program as either a Fellow or mentor.
