Clinician Scientist Traveling Fellowship program
The application for AAOS Candidate Members and Fellows to participate in the Clinician Scientist Traveling Fellowship program (CSTF) is now available on the AAOS Web site (www3.aaos.org/csp/ csp.cfm). The program will provide two aspiring orthopaedic clinician scientists the opportunity to conduct one or more site visits at their proposed mentor(s) institution. Each site visit must last at least one week and the cumulative number of weeks spent at all sites must be at least four weeks. The fellowship can be completed at weekly intervals over the course of the year. Those selected will gain exposure to established musculoskeletal scientists at one or more research sites while developing a professional relationship with established orthopaedic clinician scientists. The deadline for application submission is December 15, 2002.

Open to AAOS Candidate Members and Active Fellows.
The Academy will provide each Clinician Scientist Traveling Fellow with funding in the amount of $10,000 for expenses during their site visit(s).
Schedule of events
The Clinician Scientist Program Traveling Fellowship program requires a commitment from the applicant, his/her institution AND by a mentor(s) and his/her institution. The Fellowship will occur between July 1, 2003 and June 30, 2004. The fellowship can be completed at weekly intervals over the course of the year.
Fellows will be expected to provide a written summary of their experiences to the AAOS. They also may be required to give a presentation to AAOS members and leadership.

Submitting application materials
Application forms and Fellowship Proposals must be submitted online by December 15, 2002, via the AAOS Web site (www3.aaos.org/csp/csp.cfm).
Supporting documentation and letters of support must be submitted by December 15, 2002 to the address listed below via U.S. mail, fax or e-mail. Applicants are responsible for contacting their Department Chair and Mentor to ensure all letters/forms of support are received on time.
