Four fellows have been selected for the 1996 Kashiwagi-Suzuki Japanese American Traveling Fellowship. They are: John Dorman, MD, The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia; David F. Martin, MD, Bowman Gray School of Medicine, Winston Salem, N.C.; Edward Diao, MD, University of California, San Francisco; and John G. Heller, MD, The Emory Spine Center, Atlanta.
Every two years since 1992, the Committee on International Education and Relations, headed by Theodore R. Waugh, MD, and a steering committee select four fellows and two alternatives to represent the Academy during the three-week fellowship that takes them to orthopaedic centers throughout Japan. The fellows visit in April 1996 will include attending the Japanese Orthopaedic Association meeting in Tokyo.
The fellowship is fully funded by a grant from the Japanese Orthopaedic Association and a Japanese industrialist.
